Rolls-Royce presented a unique car in the style of Art Deco

The Phantom Art Dera, specially brought by Rolls-Royce, became part of the exposition of the famous Iranian artist Reza Darakshani, which was organized by the Salsali Private Museum (SPM) as part of the Art Dubai exhibition. The Rolls-Royce brand and the Salsali Museum have long-standing partnerships; the carmaker's leadership decided to present the famous Rolls-Royce Phantom Art Dera car as part of the exhibition.

The birth of the Art Deco style was one of the most striking events in the cultural life of the 20th century. For the first time sustained in this style, Rolls-Royce was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2012 as a memorable copy of the famous World Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Moderne, which took place in Paris in 1925.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Art Dera is presented in the body color of Arabian Blue, and the interior is a combination of black and Arctic white; The headrests, which are decorated with whimsical embroidery, became an independent detail. The Phantom appearance is complemented by the characteristic lines of the body and the famous statuette "Spirit of Ecstasy" - a woman with outstretched arms and a fluttering, word wings, tunic - all this is done with special lighting.

Rolls-Royce believes that the brand has much more in common with the Art Deco art style than it might seem at first glance: at the beginning of the 20th century, it was the Rolls-Royce style that inspired artists to create new masterpieces. In particular, the female figure, dubbed "The Spirit of Ecstasy," which has been placed on the hood of every Rolls-Royce for 101 years, inspired the French artist Marcel Buranet to create his famous Butterfly (Papillon). Of course, the opposite effect is also present: when creating each car, handmade technologies are applied and only the highest quality materials are selected, as well as in the Art Deco branch, called "High Style". A characteristic detail: the wood for the linings in the cabin is selected taking into account the density and richness of the texture, and inlaid with pearls or silver is borrowed from the technology for creating cabinets in the Art Deco style, so popular in their time. Refined cashmere and the highest quality leather are designed to provide the driver and passengers with the same unsurpassed luxury that has been associated with Rolls-Royce for more than a hundred years.
