Dubai restaurant ready to treat all unemployed

The Dubai restaurant offers free food for people looking for work.

You can see an unusual sign near the Kebab Shop in Dubai Silicon Oasis - it does not list dishes and discounts, it reports that people looking for work can rely on free food here.

"If you are unemployed and are looking for work, come visit us to eat," the inscription reads. It is also indicated here that this is not charity. Guests are requested to pay for lunch when they have the money.

This sign appeared on the initiative of the Pakistani-Canadian entrepreneur Kamal Rizvi, who owns a restaurant branch in Dubai.

“We had several customers who ate with us daily and had a good time in our restaurant. It was like a second home for them. Once I noticed that one of them doesn’t come to us anymore,” Kamal says.

Later, the entrepreneur found out that this person had lost his job and now can not afford lunch in a restaurant. Kamal told the client through his friend that he could continue to come to the institution.

"I said that I do not consider this a charity, but a loan - if he gets a job and wants to pay, let him do so," Kamal explains.

"He began to visit us again, and I saw how happy, grateful and full of energy friends," said Rizvi. According to him, it was then that he thought about how many people are in a similar situation. The entrepreneur decided to launch an initiative for them.

Rizvi made instructions for his employees. He demands not to ask any questions to visitors who wish to take advantage of the offer, and not to ask for any identification cards.

“All the client has to do is point the plate outside, and the employees will not ask any extra questions. They will only ask the client if he prefers vegetarian or non-vegetarian food, rice or chapati,” Kamal says.

According to the entrepreneur, two or three clients a day use the restaurant's offer. When asked if they were returning to pay for food, Rizvi said: “Yes, although there are not so many of them, people are returning to our restaurant asking how much they owe us. We offer them to give as much as they see fit, we don’t keep records for this service. "
