Dubai International Boat Show

The 21st Dubai International Boat Show was held in Dubai at the Mina Seyahi International Maritime Club on March 5-9.

During it, 30 international and regional premieres of new vessels took place. At the largest regional show, 430 vessels and 19 luxury yachts were presented, whose total value exceeded 1 billion dirhams (US $ 273.2 million). This year, over 750 companies from 49 countries became exhibitors of the show.

“The region’s luxury and tourism industry is on the rise today. We are seeing an increase in spending in the Middle East. In response to consumer demand, we are investing in new products for the revenue generated over the past four to five years,” said Erwin Bumps, CEO Gulf Craft, the company that unveiled the new Majesty 125 luxury vessel this year.

Experts also predict a further increase in the maritime sector in the UAE, which, inter alia, is associated with the launch of new large coastal projects, including the new maritime city of Bluewater Island.

The key exhibitors were Princess, Sunreef Yachts, Fountain Pajot, Azimut, Benetti, Sunseeker, Westport, Trinity Yachts, Sea Ray, Mercury Engines and many others.

At the extensive Turkish exposition, advanced models and equipment of the companies Miss Tor Yacht, ECI Yacht, Gora Yacht and Safter Marine were demonstrated. The debutants of the show on a regional scale were new items from Van Dutch Marine, Hydra Sports, Chris Craft, Hanse Yachts and many others.

This year, the largest Italian shipbuilding company, Fincantieri, recently introduced the giant Princess Royal passenger liner with a capacity of 3,600 people to the world. Another famous Brook Marine shipyard put on display the products of world famous brands TECMA, Osculati, Dolphin, Lewmar, as well as the latest marine equipment and technologies.

Greenline Yacht Interiors, creating design for world-class brands Lurssen and Trinity, has invited connoisseurs of luxurious interiors for floating suites to an elegant living room. Also, the regional debut of the 40-meter ship brand Sunseeker.

As part of the boat show, a regional Gulf Boating Conference was held, recreation areas were equipped for honored guests and visitors, a new media center appeared. The official sponsor of the show was the world famous manufacturer - the company Bombardier. Key partners were Officine Panerai, Mercedes and Greenline Yacht Interiors.
