The authorities of the United Arab Emirates published a school calendar until 2021.
UAE authorities unveiled a calendar for public and private schools for the next two academic years.
Officially, the school year 2019-20, following the program of the Ministry, which applies to public and private schools, begins on August 25. On the first of September, schools will wait for students. The first semester for students will last until the start of the winter holidays, December 15. On January 12, 2020, students should return to class after a 4-week break. Spring break begins on March 29, 2020 and runs through April 12. The last day of schooling for students is July 2, 2020. Thus, along with the exams of residents of the UAE this year, 185 training days are waiting.
The academic year 2020-21 according to the official program of the Ministry after the summer holidays will begin on August 23, 2020. Students must return to school on August 30. Winter holidays will last from December 13, 2020 to January 10, 2021, spring holidays - from March 28 to April 11, 2021. July 1 is the last school day. The total number of school days is 182.
For private schools with foreign study programs, the school calendar looks a little different. Winter holidays in this school year will last for students from December 15, 2019 to January 5, 2020, spring - from March 29 to April 9, 2020. In the next academic year, winter holidays will last from December 13, 2020 to January 3, 2021, and spring holidays from March 28 to April 8, 2021.
The UAE also knows the calendar of official holidays for the next six months.
