The mobile operator in the UAE has invented emojis, meaning "Together."
Dubai, UAE. Mobile operator Etisalat has created its own emoji emoticon, which means "Together." The badge was presented to the public on July 17, World Emoji Day.
All smartphone users can install a new emoticon on them by adopting the Unicode Consortium encoding. A team of designers was involved to create a new character, which is three emoticons connected together.
A popular vote was held to select the final option: promoters gathered the votes of visitors to The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, Sahara Mall in Sharjah, Yas Mall and Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi from February 10 to 14.
