Dubai businessman judged for bribe to auditor

In Dubai, a businessman and two managers unsuccessfully offered a bribe of $ 40,000 to an accountant.

Two managers of Arab origin and the owner of the company will appear before the Dubai Criminal Court on charges of offering a bribe to an accountant from an audit company for a fictitious report on a certain property.

The accountant refused to accept the bribe and reported the incident to the police.

The managers wrote a check in the amount of 150 thousand dirhams ($ US 40.8 thousand) on behalf of the owner of the company, who offered the accountant of the audit company 50 thousand dirhams ($ US 13.6 thousand) as the first tranche.
