Emirates Airlines starts flying from Dubai to another London airport

Emirates from the United Arab Emirates will launch flights between Dubai and another London airport in 2018.

Dubai-based carrier Emirates has announced plans to launch flights to London Stansted Airport in 2018.

The airline said that daily flights from Dubai International Airport to Stansted will start on June 8 and will be serviced by the new Boeing 777-300ER. The aircraft is equipped with improved cabins, created in partnership with Mercedes-Benz.

Outbound flight EK33 will depart from Dubai at 9:30 and arrive in London at 14:10. The return flight EK34 will leave Stansted at 21:10 and arrive in Dubai at 7:05 the next day.

“There is strong demand for this service among both business and leisure travelers, and we expect this news to be warmly received throughout our international network,” said Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates.

With the launch of the new route, Emirates will operate 10 daily flights between Dubai and London, including existing ones in Heathrow and Gatwick.

The carrier also announced last month that it would operate additional flights to London during the Christmas season to meet expected passenger demand.
