Camel Milk Chocolate

A farm in Al Ain, UAE, is set to produce camel milk chocolate.
Al Ain Dairy Farm, Al Ain Dairy Farm, is building a camel milk chocolate factory with the Vienna-based chocolate company Chocolatier Hochleitner. Chocolate will begin to be produced in June 2006. The factory will have the capacity to produce 50 tons of chocolate per month.
It will be the first factory in the Gulf to produce chocolate from honey and camel milk. Milk will come from Al Ain Dairy Farm and honey from Yemen.
According to a company representative, at the moment the demand for camel milk among the local population is five times higher than the supply. And camel chocolate is sweeter and less oily than traditional, and its sugar content is lower and there are more minerals than usual chocolate.
Camel is an essential part of Arab culture and its milk is an important component of nutrition in the UAE and other Arab countries.
