Swimmers in Dubai set a new unusual world record

In Dubai, a truly “family” world record was achieved - the entire national swimming team, who took part in the relay, consisted entirely of siblings.

Dubai is known for its love of family traditions. Of course, this cannot but affect the various world achievements recorded in this country. So, at the current World Swimming Championships, all four brothers from the Al-Jasmi family: Obeid, Saeed, Bakhit and Faisal (all UAE citizens) set an atypical world record, becoming the only national swimming team to take part in the relay races, which consist entirely of siblings. This achievement was awarded a line in the Guinness Book of Records.

The brothers performed at a distance of 4 to 100 freestyle at the Tenth International Swimming Competition, which is currently being held in Dubai. The team finished 14th, showing a time of 3: 35.72. Thus, this case was the only one in history when absolutely all relay participants are siblings, both in short water (25 m) and long (50 m)

After the press conference, at a special presentation organized by Samir Haluf, a representative of Guinness World Records, the brothers were awarded a certificate confirming their unique record.
