On September 1, 2009, a Russian private school in Dubai opened its doors again, meeting its students. According to a long-established tradition, the new school year began with a solemn line dedicated to the Day of Knowledge. For 14 years now, children have been rushing to their native school to greet their teachers and classmates, to re-learn the mysteries of science and proudly bear the title of student of the Russian Private School in Dubai. This year, the school accepted 27 first-graders into its ranks, which means that the authority of the school and its teachers is growing every year.

The first September day of 2009 was for the school staff a day of fulfilling a long-held dream - the Russian private school in Dubai moved to a new building! Like wizards from a fairy tale put their forces to the implementation of long-planned. In life, these wizards have become people who care about the preservation and development of school education for Russian-speaking residents of the UAE. On the solemn assembly line in the new schoolyard, the school staff appeared to those who are grateful to both the students and teachers and parents: the owner of the Russian private school in Dubai, the managing director of the Darmal Group Najibula Najip and the general manager of the Darmal Group Daud Sahail.
To the applause of all those gathered, and to the sounds of two national anthems, flags soared over the school - symbols of two states of the Russian Federation and the United Arab Emirates. The right to raise flags was awarded this year to the best high school students - Stanislav Polubinsky and Anna Milovanova. The traditional school line is not complete without the rituals that its teachers and students carefully preserve. So this year, from the candle, which symbolizes the fire of teachers' hearts, the "Torch of Knowledge" was lit. The right to light the “Torch of Knowledge” was granted to the Excellence in Education of the Russian Federation, an experienced teacher, teacher of the Russian language and literature, the head teacher of the school Galina Ilinichna Melnikova. She congratulated all the children and teachers on the housewarming and the beginning of the new school year in a beautiful school, wishing the children good luck and faithful strong friendship.
Yes, the staff of the Russian school will have to start a new life in new walls. Builders are laying the first stone when they are building an architectural masterpiece, diplomats present their credentials to the ruler of the country before starting their duties, and on the line on September 1, 2009, the consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Dubai, Yuri Kalashnikov and school owner Najibula Najib, solemnly cut the ribbon in front of the entrance new building. The first school bell, announcing the beginning of the school year, rang fervently and cheerfully over the heads of the guys. First-grader Anastasia Orlova and eleventh grader Asker Afaunov proudly walked in front of the school ranks with a symbolic bell in their hands. So, in Russian, the school year festively began at the Russian School in Dubai. And the guys expect from this year the further fulfillment of all their dreams, because the dreams, as it became known, come true for sure.
Moving from class to class ...
The new school is located in a modern, spacious building in the district of Muheisna 4. Everyone can envy such a school, its educational and technical capabilities. All the rooms of the Russian School in Dubai are equipped with new modern furniture, selected in accordance with sanitary standards. Now each student will feel comfortable at all lessons, sitting in a comfortable chair, behind a desk selected for growth. Even for toddlers of the first and second grades (KG 1 and 2), the school has now created spacious classes with small tables for classes and eye-catching play areas. New teaching aids and demonstration materials for lessons will allow teachers to improve the educational process. To the delight of all the children and teachers, the school now has a beautiful sports hall with a safe flooring and sports equipment. And for holding traditional school holidays, concerts, competitions and entertainment programs for children, an assembly hall with a real stage is equipped.
Keeping up with the times and taking care of your health
A special pride of the school is the computer science cabinet, which is equipped with ultra-modern computers, which will allow the most experienced teacher, programmer Svetlana V. Yashchenko to conduct information technology lessons at the highest level using high-speed Internet access. This is truly the dream of every school - to keep up with the times in the century of rapid technological development and computerization.
To the delight of students, the school has its own pool, which will allow for fun physical education classes for younger students. Now you don’t have to spend time on the road, as it was before when visiting the pool in Mamzar Park, which means that there are all the opportunities to maintain and strengthen the health of students. With great warmth, the guys accepted a large green lawn and a playground, which was closed to the sun and equipped with a rest. Pupils are happy to have a break here. And for kids on a green grass a cozy children's town is arranged. School teachers especially tried - they prepared all classrooms by the beginning of the school year, placing textbooks, equipment and usual school equipment in them, forgetting about traditional summer holidays and weekends for a while. Of particular interest to the students was a real physics classroom with excellent demonstration aids and instruments. To conduct laboratory classes in chemistry and physics, the school now has a special room - a laboratory. The guys will be able to test the reagents and equipment in it in the very near future.
And finally, a large school library began work. Now all students have the opportunity to use the subscription and reading room, where on the book shelves there are excellent art and encyclopedic book publications donated to the school last year by the Government of the Russian Federation. Librarian Lidia Vasilievna Cherkasova will help each student to choose a book of interest or given according to the program.
The new school year has come into its own. The new large school building has hosted its students under its roof. Well, a big ship - a great voyage!
