At least three percent of Russians have visited the United Arab Emirates at least once.
According to a survey conducted by the Levada Center, 3% of respondents were in the UAE once, while another 2-3% will go there in the coming year.
Of the Russians surveyed, 70% are not going to fly to the United Arab Emirates at all, and 22% doubt whether or not to go.
Estimating the population of the Russian Federation at 144 million people, it can be assumed that 4.32 million of them visited the UAE.
It should be noted that the statistics for the United Arab Emirates differs little from the statistics for such popular destinations among Russians as Egypt, Turkey, Cyprus or Thailand, which, although they are ahead of the UAE in attendance, are not significant, and mainly due to the availability of cheaper tours .
The Levada Center survey was conducted on April 21-24, 2017, in which 1.6 thousand people from 137 settlements in 48 subjects of the Federation took part. The study was conducted by personal interviews.
