The test is intended for impatient parents who do not want to wait 20 weeks before an ultrasound scan. It is based on the interaction of special reagents with substances contained in the urine of the expectant mother. By changing the color of the liquid in the test tube, one can judge the sex of the unborn child: orange corresponds to the girl, green to the boy. Intelligender is used between 10 and 34 weeks after conception and takes about 10 minutes. The inventors of this test to determine the sex of the unborn child guarantee the reliability of the results - 82%. In the United Arab Emirates, the IntelliGender test can be purchased at all pharmacies since July 2010.
