Another UAE emirate reduces tourist fees

The ruler of the smallest emirate issued a decree reducing tourist fees.

Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaymi, ruler of the emirate of Ajman, UAE, who is also a member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates, ordered to reduce the amount of fees charged by hotels from tourists from July from 10 to 7 percent.

The decree will be valid until December 31.

Ajman aims to attract 700,000 guests to his hotels annually in accordance with his Vision 2021 strategy.

Ajman Tourism Development Department Director Saleh Muhammad Al-Jazai said that this decision will encourage more tourists to come to Ajman and get acquainted with its shopping centers, beaches and markets.

Earlier, Dubai and Abu Dhabi took a similar step.
