UAE equalize salaries of men and women

The UAE cabinet has approved a law according to which men and women working in the country will receive equal pay.

The UAE Government has passed a law that equalizes the wages of men and women. New legislation provides equal opportunities for women, making them partners in the development of the UAE. The law also gives the weaker sex the right to contribute to the implementation of national strategies and ambitious projects.

The law consolidates the consolidation of the UAE's efforts to narrow the gender gap. In 2015, the UAE created the Gender Balance Council. This step brings the UAE to a leading position in matters of gender balance among all countries of the world.

The Cabinet’s approval of the new law is consistent with the government’s goal of protecting women's rights and supporting their role in the development of the state.

The law is part of the Strategy for the Empowerment of Women in the UAE. The foundations for such an initiative were laid by Sheikh Fatima bint Mubarak, chairman of the Supreme Women's Union, president of the High Council of Motherhood and Childhood, and chairman of the Family Development Fund.
