Abu Dhabi police intend to use unmanned aerial vehicles to search for lost and missing people.

The Abu Dhabi police search and rescue team is testing a new technology that will allow the use of unmanned aerial vehicles to detect missing people.

The technology developed by UAE University can be used to help people in emergency situations and will be used in the search for residents.

According to police, this technology is in line with the UAE’s vision of modernizing police services.

Colonel Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Ameri, Head of Emergency Services and Public Security, emphasized the importance of using drones in rescue operations. This technology, he said, reduces the likelihood of human errors in locating missing persons.

He praised police cooperation with universities and research centers.

Dr. Fekri Kherbash, Dean of the College of Information Technology at UAE University, said the new technology aims to improve police response to emergencies.
